Reservoir (Atherton, CA)

Modern | ~7,000 sq. ft. (two structures)

A Fresh Start on a
Challenging Project

When Lencioni joined the Reservoir project, rough framing was already underway. The homeowners were looking for a team that could step in with clarity, steady leadership, and the experience needed to carry the project forward.

Set on a private Atherton property with dramatic architecture and expansive outdoor living spaces, the home was designed as a modern residence centered around entertaining, relaxation, and seamless indoor-outdoor living.

What Guided the Approach

Taking over a project mid-construction required thoughtful coordination, clear communication, and a careful understanding of the work already in place.

  • Re-establishing trust, timelines, and communication created a more predictable path forward for both the homeowners and project team.
  • With the homeowners spending much of the year overseas, consistent updates and ongoing coordination remained essential throughout the build.
  • Much of the framing and finish carpentry was completed in-house, allowing the team to maintain continuity and tighter control across the home’s complex architectural details, large-scale window system and outdoor structures.

The Result

Reservoir is now a striking modern estate designed for entertaining, relaxing, and taking in the surrounding landscape. Strong structural elements and seamless indoor-outdoor flow define the home's experience.

What began as a complex transition evolved into a lasting relationship, with Lencioni later invited back to complete additional phases of work on the property.
