A Family Home Designed
for Everyday Living

Basalt is a large, beautifully layered family home in central Atherton, designed to feel welcoming and fully tailored to the way its owners live day to day.

While the scale is impressive, what defines the home is how personal it feels. Spaces were designed for gathering and quieter moments alike, creating a home that feels polished, yet easy to live in.

What Guided the Approach

The architectural firm on Basalt had also designed Chad Lencioni’s own home. That shared history created immediate alignment around expectations, communication, and how the home should ultimately feel.

  • All decisions were guided by how the family planned to use the home over time, with spaces designed to evolve alongside changing needs.
  • Careful coordination across trades maintained the level of detail expected in a home of this scale while preserving warmth and livability throughout.

The Result

Today, Basalt is fully lived in and continues to evolve alongside the family it was designed for. The home remains connected to the Lencioni team through ongoing estate care and support, ensuring it continues to feel as thoughtful and welcoming as the day it was completed.
