Hermosa (Menlo Park, CA)

Transitional | 7,500 sq. ft.

Built on Long-Term Trust

Hermosa was built in West Menlo Park for a long standing Lencioni client, following earlier renovation and construction work completed on their primary residence next door.

Designed as a caretaker residence, the project carried a more personal significance from the very beginning. More than a new home, it reflected years of trust, familiarity, and shared history between the clients and the Lencioni team.

What Guided the Approach

Designed by Palo Alto architect Fergus Garber, Hermosa blends classic architectural forms with clean, transitional detailing and a layout centered around accessibility and ease of living.

  • Standing-seam metal roofing, board-and-batten detailing, and a carefully scaled single-story layout helped create a home that feels both timeless and approachable.
  • Much of the framing and finish carpentry was completed in-house by the Lencioni team, with hands-on involvement from the project superintendent throughout construction.
  • With a longstanding relationship already established, the project moved forward with a high level of trust, allowing the team to focus on execution, coordination, and delivering a seamless experience for the homeowners.

The Result

Hermosa is a home shaped by familiarity, trust, and long-term care—built for clients who have remained closely connected to the Lencioni team long after construction was complete.

The project reflects the kind of lasting relationship built over years of working together, with a level of trust that carried naturally from one phase of work to the next.
