A Home Designed for Performance

Located in San Francisco’s Presidio Terrace neighborhood, Presidio remains one of Lencioni Construction’s most distinctive projects—an elegant classical residence defined by symmetry, proportion, and enduring architectural detail.

Designed by architect Andrew Skurman, the home draws from French classical influences, with curved forms, formal staircases, layered wall paneling, and extensive interior detailing that create a strong sense of permanence throughout the residence.

What Guided the Approach

Presidio required an exceptional level of coordination, precision, and consistency across multiple years of construction.

  • A dramatic oval stone bathroom, curved forms, and detailed interior woodwork demanded precision framing to support complex trim and stone installations throughout the home.
  • Careful sequencing was essential to protect finished work and maintain alignment across the residence’s layered detailing and custom elements.
  • Sustained coordination over an extended construction timeline helped preserve consistency across materials, finishes, and installation throughout every phase of the project.
  • With an involved homeowner and a highly detailed design vision, the project relied on close collaboration and steady execution from beginning to end.

The Result

Presidio remains a home defined by elegance, proportion, and timeless architectural character. Its classical detailing and carefully executed interiors continue to feel enduring rather than trend-driven.

The project also stands as an important example of Lencioni Construction’s versatility—demonstrating the team’s ability to execute highly detailed traditional architecture at the same level as its modern and transitional homes.
